Manuel Turizo (full name Manuel Turizo Zapata) is an urbano and reggaeton singer songwriter and multi-instrumentalist from Colombia whose trademark is his smooth buttery tenor singing voice. His music has seen major global progress into the Latin popular music scene. In the year 2017 the hit song from 2016 Una Lady Como Tu won the Colombian Kids Choice Award Favorite Song. He released his debut long-player ADN to the Medellin-based company Sony, which is distributed by La Industria Inc. It reached the top 8 spot on the Top Latin Albums Chart. Following that year, he collaborated with Ozuna for the Top Five smash Vaina Loca. He collaborated alongside Noriel for Mala Influencia in the year 2020, and the following year came out with his second album, the chart-topping Dopamina. He appeared in 2021 in a duo performance with TINI for her stream single Maldita Foto. The year 2023 was when the hit La Bachata was released. Turizo was raised in a musical family, his younger brother and his mother are also musicians. In interviews he's talked about his involvement in music as mandatory. He started playing the saxophone, guitar, piano, and ukulele as the age of a small child. When his original career plan was to become a veterinarian his brother Julian encouraged him to enroll in lessons in singing with a Cuban teacher and the end result personally discovering his talent as a musician changed the trajectory of his life.
